FAQ

Pipe and Drape Basics

What is pipe and drape used for?

Pipe and drape systems are used to create temporary walls, backdrops, booth enclosures, masking, room dividers, and scenic elements for trade shows, conferences, corporate meetings, touring shows, weddings, and special events. They are popular because they install quickly, look professional, and can be reconfigured for different layouts.

What materials are WENTEX pipe and drape made from?

WENTEX systems use professional-grade aluminum hardware designed for durability and repeated use, paired with flame-retardant, event-rated fabrics. Product-specific specifications and documentation can be provided upon request.

How easy is it to set up a WENTEX pipe and drape system?

WENTEX systems are designed for fast, tool-free assembly. Uprights, base plates, and drape supports connect quickly and intuitively. While the system is user-friendly, proper setup, ballast, and site safety are the responsibility of the installer.

What sizes are available in the WENTEX pipe and drape system?

WENTEX offers a wide range of adjustable heights and widths. Systems are modular and can be expanded by adding compatible components. Exact sizing depends on the items selected—please refer to product pages for detailed specs.

Do WENTEX pipe and drape systems come with accessories?

Yes. Our pipe and drape kits include the core components needed to set up a complete system. Additional accessories — including extra crossbars, corners, clamps, connectors, and transport solutions — are available separately to extend or customize your layout. Refer to each product or kit page for the exact contents.

Safety & Compliance

Are WENTEX pipe and drape fabrics flame retardant?

Yes. Fabrics used in WENTEX pipe and drape systems are flame retardant and suitable for professional event use. Documentation may vary by fabric and color. Customers are responsible for confirming venue-specific requirements.

Are WENTEX products approved by every venue and fire marshal?

No product is universally approved by all venues or Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). While our products meet common industry standards, final approval is always determined by the venue or fire marshal. We recommend confirming requirements prior to installation.

Do I need base plates or additional ballast?

Yes. Proper ballast is essential for stability and safety. Required base plate size and ballast considerations depend on height, fabric type, configuration, and environment. The installer is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant setup.

Can pipe and drape be used outdoors?

Pipe and drape is primarily designed for indoor use. Outdoor use introduces wind and environmental risks and may require additional engineering and ballast. We do not recommend outdoor installation unless proper safety measures are in place.

Ordering & Support

Can I get help choosing the right pipe and drape system?

Yes. Our team can help you select the correct components based on your goals, space, and timeline. If you’re unsure about sizing, quantities, or logistics, contact us at sales@expowhs.com.

Do you offer custom or made-to-order products?

Yes. Some items may be custom, made-to-order, or special-order depending on your needs. Custom and made-to-order items are final sale and not eligible for return.

Can I cancel or change my order?

If you need to change an order, contact us immediately. Orders that have entered processing, manufacturing, or shipment may not be canceled or modified. Approval is not guaranteed.

Do you offer samples?

Yes—samples are strongly recommended for fabrics, colors, and finishes. Variations can occur due to monitor settings, dye lots, lighting conditions, and manufacturing tolerances. Color/finish variation is not considered a defect.

How do WENTEX products compare in price?

WENTEX products are competitively priced relative to other professional pipe and drape systems. Pricing reflects durable materials, thoughtful engineering, and long-term value for event professionals and rental operations.

Shipping & Delivery

What is the shipping method for most items?

Many of our products ship via LTL freight due to size or weight. Smaller items may ship via standard parcel carriers. Freight deliveries may require appointments and may involve accessorial services (like lift gate), which can result in additional charges.

Can I choose faster shipping for small parcel items?

Yes. Many small parcel items can ship using services from standard ground through next-day air, as long as your order is received before 2:00 PM EST and the items are in stock.

Do you guarantee delivery dates?

No. Shipping timelines are estimates and depend on carrier schedules, freight conditions, and destination receiving requirements. For event deadlines, we strongly recommend ordering early.

What should I do when my shipment arrives?

Inspect your shipment immediately upon delivery.

  • Note visible damage or shortages on the delivery receipt before signing
  • Take photos if damage is present
  • Report concealed damage within 48 hours

Failure to inspect and report issues within required timeframes may void carrier claims.

Returns, Refunds & Warranty

Are returns accepted?

Returns are governed by our Returns & Refunds Policy. Many items—such as fabrics, carpet, custom/made-to-order products, and sale items—are non-returnable. All returns require an approved RMA.

Is there a warranty on WENTEX products?

WENTEX products include a manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty coverage does not apply to misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear. Warranty details are available upon request.
